“On Christmas Eve, after spending the evening with my Mom’s side of the family, we headed to his parent’s house– our typical Christmas Eve tradition. We were outside of the car when I saw the roses in his hand. I thought they were for his mom! Next thing I knew he was down on one knee with a little black box. Being the graceful, eloquent girl that I am, the only thing I thought to say was, “SHUT UP!” He asked me to marry him and of course I said yes. I was so surprised and overjoyed. I just kept asking him if it was real.” said Lauren of how Brian proposed.
Now they are married and I can’t even begin to tell you how honored I am to have been there to document this perfect day! Lauren had everything planned down to perfection including her first dance, “Wonderful” by My Morning Jacket which they heard at Red Rocks in 2012, before they were even engaged. Lauren knew it would be her first dance at her wedding with Brian one day. I think many of us gals can relate to that feeling…
Lauren said the favorite part of planning her wedding was being able to get help from so many friends and family. All the personal touches she added- cookies from the family as wedding favors, Kristin Kidwell from Don’t Forget the Flowers doing all the florals, her good friend Chelsea getting all the last minute touches together, her friend Brittany did all the print work- invites, seating card, programs…. “It felt so much like Brian and I and I have so many wonderful people to thank for that!” Said Lauren.
I can’t thank you enough for allowing myself and the talented Dustin Alton Strupp to be a part of documenting your wedding day! We hope you love the photos!
