Garden Court Wedding Photography | Tess & John

Tess & John were married on August 28, 2016 in Louisville, Kentucky and choose Kylene’s Photography to capture their wedding day. Tess & John are two of the kindest and authentic people you will ever meet! When Tess contacted me about photographing her wedding and we found out that her future groom was the son of a family we absolutely LOVE, we were thrilled to be a part of of their incredible celebration! We know the Sansbury family from doing John’s brothers wedding, Brian & Lauren a few years ago. Our hearts overflowed with gratitude when we showed up on the wedding day and felt like we were surrounded by family!

Tess had every detail planned magically and all of her ideas and visions came to life with her all-star team of vendors to help pull it off! We love working Catie Nelson with CCN Events and Boston’s Floral Couture created phenomenal florals, centerpieces and balloons for the ceremony! All the beautiful details came together like to create a stunning day, but what I loved most of all were all the spontaneous moments… the uncontrollable laughter with friends, the tears with family, the dip in the fountain after the scorching hot August day and most of all the amazing connection that Tess and John share.

And while the the dress, the flowers, the surroundings and decorations and musicians were beautiful and transportive, my favorite part was the moment we exchanged our very personal vows that were infused with so much of the dynamic in our relationship.” ~ In Tess’s own words.

Big thanks to my talented second shooter, Dustin Alton Strupp for your help at this wedding! We shot two weddings back to back this weekend and knocked them both out the park! There were record highs on the day of Tess and John’s weddings and the bridal party couldn’t handle being outside any longer after the ceremony. We had to do all the family/bridal party portraits inside, which was not planned. We pride ourselves in being able to improvise and take beautiful photos no matter what the lighting situation might be and we definitely executed them at this wedding.
